The Harrington Public School difference
A strong start
Our school welcomes all students from all backgrounds. We help every child feel safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day.
Growth in the classroom and beyond
We offer our students a wide range of subjects and opportunities. This empowers them to learn, develop skills, and discover their passions.
A unique location
Located at the northern entrance to the Manning River (the only double-delta river system in the southern hemisphere), our students are able to participate in activities such as fishing and beach games as part of their weekly sport.
Support for every family
Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.
Established facilities
Established in 1872 to educate the children of the local fisherman, the first teacher at Harrington Public School was Mr William Brewer, who had one classroom and a cohort of just 17 students. Today, with five classrooms and a library, students are well supported and provided for with our well established facilities.
A more personalised approach
The size of our school affords us the ability to offer our students and families a more personalised approach. We retain that small school feel which so many of our families seek out, while still having access to quality resources and technology for our students.
