Kids Shed
Harrington Public School Kids Shed allows selected students the opportunity to meet regularly with the School Chaplin (Mark Smith) who can provide advice, support and assistance to help students fulfill their potential around social and emotional development.
Purpose
Our purpose is to create a space for students to learn practical skills through undertaking small woodwork projects, pushbike restoration and repairs, craft activities, lego building, and other engaging exercises with the view to:
- Building confidence, self-esteem and resilience, along with developing teamwork and social skills.
- Providing a safe environment for students to talk about whatever difficulties or challenges they may be facing.
